Summary

This study compared the learning experiences of underprivileged and general gifted students before and after admission to science academy. The results showed that prior learning experiences were similar, but differences appeared in private education experiences, with underprivileged gifted students tending to experience information alienation and emotional instability. While attending science academy, underprivileged gifted students needed learning assistance due to mismatches in learning difficulty and pace, and sometimes received private education to keep up with the curriculum.
